Cape Breton Environmental Association (CBEA) is a community-based organization, founded in 2017. Its original mission was to help curb Cape Breton’s ongoing illegal dumping issue but has since grown into a diverse organization that offers environmental awareness through education and participation. Since its establishment, CBEA has been responsible for a variety of community-based environmental initiatives all made possible by passionate volunteers.
We are currently accepting new membership applications for 2023, we have volunteer opportunities in in fundraising, science, and litter cleanup. If you love being outdoors learning about nature and giving back to the environment this is the place for you! Membership is free, and our members typically commit to 1-3 activities per month.
